He owns and operates Christian Counseling Services, and has done so since 1998. His new main office is now located in Grand Island, and he has an extension office in McCook, NE. Ed's heart is to serve those in need, bringing them hope and restoration through sharing God's healing power, forgiveness, and grace, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Ed received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Counseling Ministries from Ottawa University, Ottawa, KS in 1978, and earned his Master’s Degree in Community Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA, in 1993. He received his license from Nebraska in 1996. Ed also received a certification in Domestic Violence Counseling and Training from Duluth MN in 1995. He is available to speak at conferences and workshops on the profile of a batterer and on domestic violence. In 2019 he became a state certified sex offender therapist.

As part of the NewLife Live Network of counselors, his specialties include working with troubled couples with relational problems; men's issues including: domestic violence/anger management; sexual addiction issues and others; children, teens and parents of children with ADHD, ODD, IED, and other behavioral issues; and individuals with spiritual issues. Ed's true God-given strength is his ability to discern what the core issue is, and bring it to light, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He has been told from clients that he knows just what to say and when to say it, having a great insight into their soul, thereby helping to restore and bring spiritual, emotional, and mental wholeness into a person's life.

George Young, PLMHP

George now manages the McCook office and has a long history of serving young people in the southwest Nebraska area for the past 28 years as a school psychologist. He is now using his skills to serve children, youth, and adults in a more direct, on-going and Christian manner than he was able to do as a school psychologist.

He grew up on a farm in Nebraska and received his MS degree in Counseling and specialization in school psychology from Kearney State College. He has provided group and individual counseling for youth and adults with behavior, sexual abuse, emotional and social issues. Each individual he counsels will be treated with respect and the highest level of care possible.

As a Christian counselor, George bases his counseling on the eternal Truths of God's Word, love and value of each individual as His creation. George seeks to lead and encourage people towards growth and fullness of their God-given potential, and by His grace, wisdom, discernment and insight, George, the one therapist in this office, is a Godly vessel for God’s work to be completed.
